Yeah that back trailer basically follows pretty good in a turn. I like them better in the snow if not loaded backwards like this place is famous for. That's why most states allow them in the snow cause they are stable. Also I can slide my fifth wheel up and get a lot of trailer over the tires of my twin screw vs pups. Wish we could run regionally like that, heard this company back in the day used to do it. Also we uses to have sleeper teams too. I wouldn't do that but it's would of been nice for options.

My regular partner is on vacation so I pulled a guy I know off the extra board with me this week. He has been with the company since 1973 and this is his first time running a team truck. He's doin well no big issues other than our flat steer tire. Luckily this happened at the terminal and not while one of us was driving down the road.

Full time driver means you will have benefits and all. I work out of Maybrook as well. I was a transfer from mount Vernon. Are you going to be a road driver or city? I'm a road driver there

The job was described as road driver, with various regional trips described by the interviewer. I've been trying to get a feel for how it works by reading as many posts here as I can, but it's a little confusing to a newb like me. As long as it's steady, I'll be a happy camper. The correspondence between YRC and me via email always refers to the job as part time, but I'm told verbally the job is full time. I'm not looking to complain, just trying to figure out if I might get a fairly steady hopefully around $1K gross per week pay. I know there are no guarantees at any job, and I will be rock bottom on seniority, but just wondering 'cuz the wolves are looking at the door for me financially. Winters are painfully slow for me financially, which was my reason to get back into trucking. I do love driving, so its all good that way.
