Well No work for me today. First I woke up feeling horrible from either allergies or sinus infection, really didnt want to go to work but didnt want to call out as I took too many days off already. Go in got there 25 min early and I passed out cold in my car. Around 7:50 my coworker is banging my windows to wake me up, and I NEVER fall asleep in my car. Sitting in the shape room Im just so out of it... he goes to the bottom guy no work today, and gives out the time cards, once again one of the idiots are late so I am given his card and was told to get mine instead, now normally Im one of the first to leave the room but I waited till every one left, was gonna ask the steward if I cn give my card to the bottom but he was in a convo and he doesnt like being disturbed, so I ask the asst and he said ok thats fine, I said I didnt want the day off but since Im not feeling well and hes not working he can just take my run. I dont care that I wont get paid but I needed the days rest. The stewards said you did the right thibg coming in, if we all had cards I wouldve worked but since I wasnt even supposed to work Id give it to the bottom guy. Plus it was nice of him to wake me up in my car, he couldve just left me there to get my run...
Oh well, still slow all week, yesterday I had one bulk stop, then went back, was told take a hour lunch on my way up, did three deliveries in the town, then drove a few town over to deliver home depot(Never get in day if slow, usually we do them at night like 5pm-on(recieve till 2am)) Did that, took my break then went back. No pickups, which was good because my tractor is leaking air WAY to fast, hopefully the mechanic fixed it for me, hes normally pretty good about that

I was getting all the runs I wanted for 3 weeks, was hoping it would last till Jan. Still on call this week. Oh well. We are still hiring here. We just hired a chick last week. I don't know how many I have under me now. I had 10, but, 2 of those quit, but, they have been hiring since. Prolly over 10. Not bad for only been here for 4 months.
The one new guy that quit, I met him awhile back, he was a young dude (not older than 25), newlywed w/new baby. We were busy at the time, yet, he said he wasn't getting much work. Come to find out, he was turning down work. He refused to work nights.

That's what I'm thinking Cool35. Why else would they still be hiring? This is the quiet before the storm. Can't wait. I'm gonna run a ####t load of miles & make a butt load of money.
