Oh no now you've told everyone the secret ha ha only issue may be your weights that i can think of, perhaps you'll have to get in touch with the relevant authorities and see what they have to say about it. What i'd do is just hook up a small tanker behind your trailer like a rocky mountain double then fill her up when you see some cheap diesel .

You’ll learn more by reading it out of a book by yourself. For example look at the front of your atlas.

Here's the problem with people today.... LAZINESS!
The CORRECT information you need can be found with just a little bit of effort on YOUR part.

But today, everyone wants things just handed to them. And then when they get the wrong information from a conversation overheard from a truck stop counter, they take it as gospel and then regurgitate that info as if it was all true.

Here's the best advice I can give you...... READ, READ, and then READ some more. But don't get all your information from one source. Make an educated decision after doing your research and then comparing what you have learned.

Did your school tell you that 12,000 was max for the steer axle in all cases, or is that just what some other trucker told you?

    I know how it works.

    I'm trollin' ya.

I said it because it's about as beat to death a topic as how to buy the lowest cost fuel. But some people seem unable to comprehend the simple equation of pump price paid - ifta tax rate = price per gallon. So we come up with all sorts of crap like "buy it wherever it's cheapest pump price" (ok if someone else pays ifta and doesn't charge you for it) or "buy fuel in every state you travel through" or "never buy any fuel in pa cuz they want like .75 a gallon". Without realizing they just pay it later.
