I know every new flatbed driver out there wants brand new shtuff to make his loads/truck look good, but new is expensive. You can find good used equipment on facebook from any number of drivers from the ones who retired to the ones that crashed and burned. All of it for about half of new cost. Some of it, like my new (to me) chain cabinet, might require a little sweat equity. Some is new and had just not gotten used yet.
I recently bought a 3 door chain cabinet and a step box for just under $1700. Both are in good/ very good condition and I saved myself $1700.... Like I said, they need cleaning but they're structurally solid and the money saved can be used for other parts/accessories I may want/need later.

 

That's why so many have time to be on twisted truckers....LMAO

 

Of course, that's not my truck number...I haven't removed the one on the cabinet yet.

 

The straps are augmenting the strength of the bolts for now, until I get to my garage to better secure it.
