Strap and go is never strap and go. Usually turns out to be a three hour wait, all the straps, chokers, a few chains, corner protectors, and sheer terror expecting something to fall off when you get interstate speeds.

Called on a load paying reasonable well loaded in a small town where the only thing in the area I could find on Google maps was a Walmart DC
Agent- yeah good load out of small town going to Brampton Ontario
Me-- ok, who's the shipper?
Agent-- uhhhhhhhh! I'm not sure.
Me-- you don't know who your customer is?
Agent-- I'll find out and call you back.
And I am still waiting to find out who the shipper was lolHegemeister and 86scotty Thank this. -
Double brokered, load was covered, no consideration to call you back. Rude.

"It's ready to go" that's a favorite. Usually they say that when it's coming from some time wasting hell hole nobody ever wants to go to.

Product is ready, then you get to the shipper they tell you gotta wait for product to cross the border

Not a quote, but a place I pick up at requires a wash out receipt from the past 24hrs. I’d say over half the drivers have to get a wash out and the trailer temp has to be zero or below before they’ll load you. So a bunch of drivers waste 2-6 hours because of not being told all the details.
mp4694330 Thanks this.
