Am I correct in assuming that this brass fitting can be replaced on a newer section of the line?
I'm going to need to cut it because the line is welded in there.
What's the best place to buy that fitting?

yes you have to cut it clean. get new brass fitting. its a crush sleeve. once you apply pressure it crushes it on the hose. wheres is the fan leaking and what type or color fan.

if the fan clutch is blowing air out the front. then you have to replace or rebuild the clutch. hortons can be locked into place with a set screw. kiser will have to be rebuilt or replace on the spot

Nope leaking from the top of fitting and line. Unusually quite night at the yard and could hear it. Confirmed with soapy water.
    Best place to buy fitting?
How do I know which clutch I have?
Thanks for your help and quick response.
Got this all done while unloading :D

Find a shop at a travel stop. You can buy new brass for like a buck a fitting. Speaking from experience

Every driver should have a kit with spare fittings and such.

You can buy new fittings pretty much anywhere. Truck dealers/shops, industrial supply stores, truck parts stores like Napa/Traction etc.

Buy it at an auto parts store.
Why get robbed at a truck shop travel center truck stop or anywhere else like that.

That "crush" fitting has a ferrel in it. You cannot reuse it.
New fitting will come with it.
Auto parts store .. About 5 pieces for a buck
