That looked like a California hauler rig. You’d think the driver would have known better or maybe was on his maiden trip. Those California guys generally have all their brake ducks in a row

I come off that hill at least a couple times a month and don't even get my brakes warm ...came down it last weds morn and 2 geniuses were off on the shoulders near the bottom scratching they're heads as to why they're brakes were on fire ..duh.

You beat me to it. I run that pass regularly. I’m from that area. It’s not that steep. Back in the days, it wasn’t posted 45 mph. No runaway ramp. The only downfall is the some retarted DOT pencil pusher decided to have the coops built at the bottom of the pass.

Defenitly don't see many rigs ACTUALLY obeying the speed limit.

    Just like on the grapevine.

Last time i was on the grape. An O/O was smoking them trailers.

There outta be a law against O/O's too cheap to include their own brakes in use.

Now watch the flame throwing begin.

Agreed ...those robertson guys leave Victorville every morning with double bulk tanks and I never see they're brakes smoking ...ever .

You don't have to worry about it anymore.

Unless it got rebuilt. And put back in to service.

    I don't frequent so I don't know.
