I did own one Ranger Superstar SS158EDX and got great reports of AM modulation...a few guys actually thought I was on a Connex. Sideband was so-so. Tonight I was eyeballing a Galaxy 929 and have considered giving one of those a shot; I would try a 959 but everything I've gathered has said they are not very stable on side band.
