Made it to CB with 20 minutes to spare, I’m hanging out at Sapp bros taking my reset, I will drop this in Holdrege Monday morning a pick up a preloaded trailer at the same customer going back to Four Oaks, N.C. ( I’m stuck in the Nebraska to N.C. vortex), George if you get tomorrow at a decent time look me up, I will buy you dinner.

Made it to New Baden, IL, Loves. Got here around lunch time. Have 456 miles to my drop at our yard in Council Bluffs IA. Then head to Lincoln NE for a pickup before my 70 runs out. Have 9.5 hours left of drive time. Probably have to break near Lincoln if I make it. Runningman, looks like I have to take a raincheck on dinner, buddy! Hope it doesn't snow. Load has to be North of Nashville TN before midnight Tuesday. No chance for reset. The joys of recap!

Just got my reload info for tomorrow, after I drop this load in Four Oaks tomorrow I have deadhead up to Hopewell, Va. and pick up a load going to St. Joseph, Missouri for Friday. I don’t know if this is a new customer, but it requires a tanker endorsement, so it must be totes, and this will be the first time I’ve loaded in Virginia since being at FCC.

Crusader66, mushroom1464 and Vic Firth Thank this.

Dropped my ATVs in Goodlettsville (near Nashville TN) had been given a preload from Nashville to Sumter SC but didn't have the hours to pick it up let alone carry it. Deadheaded to Loves in White House and spent the day, killing time. I am a sports enthusiast and play sports simulation (stats and text based) baseball and Ice hockey. Been a hobby of mine since I was a teenager. Participate in draft based leagues (3 baseball and 3 hockey leagues - not all at one time) spread throughout the year. It keeps me outta trouble if ya know what I mean.
Anyway, after midnight I recap more than 10 hours so I.Will be picking up a load in Nashville going to Greensboro for Thursday. Needed to be home this weekend.
Planning to run over Thanksgiving much to the delight of my dispatcher. Told him if he needs me I will run! 3212 miles for the past week. I will take it! Goodnite!

Sitting in St. Joseph, Missouri getting unloaded, from here I will bounce to our drop yard in KCMO and pick up a preloaded trailer going to Newnan, Georgia for a Monday morning delivery.

Do you all have a lot of local drivers?
You seem to pick up and drop loaded trailers quite a bit.

We do a lot of drop and hooks at customers, and in KCMO we have at least 1 local driver. At our terminals in Fremont and Council Bluffs we have at least two ar each terminal.

Been really enjoying this thread. How often do you find yourself driving nights especially on the southeast regional?
