1 week with a trainer as a newbie in the industry is a joke!... anything less than 6-8 weeks is setting people up to fail.

You got people coming onto the site and asking for companies that have the shortest possible training time… Mind blowing…. A western express driver. The other night was telling me that Western at one time had training requirements where you could train somebody after three weeks on your own…

 

I think you should have a minimum of five years. Unblemished experience in order to be allowed to train

 

Sad thing is that Schneider is one of the better mega carriers when it comes to training. That’s setting a pretty low bar.
