For those that haven’t asked. Looked over pay settlement today. The two loads I shagged from valley up to Fremont on last Friday was paid hourly for 3hrs and not mileage. (Worked out better)

Also, the tarped load of shingles, they did pay me to retarp them after the shipper reworked the load. But not at full tarp rate.

Not all that much, moving from the first to third hole on my loaner moved not quite 300 pounds, I think on my regular truck it was about 250. Way back when I think Schneider’s rule of thumb was about 25-50 pounds for every hole on the 5th wheel slider.

That's because moving your 5th wheel is know as flat weight, changes weight on steers more than the drives.

Yes. Then they’ll keep working their way west. I think it’s a 5 year plan to York and there’s rumors they want to go all the way to Grand Island eventually.

Well, Iowa certainly loves their bridges and express lanes in CB.

We have pretty good freight. There have only been a few broker loads I didn’t care much for but nothing close to being a load I’d refuse.

So technically I guess I’d say we are potentially forced dispatch but only because the O/Os here like to remind us they can refuse loads… lol … but if you have a good reason to question taking the load, they would hear you out.

    Others might have better thoughts.
