Pulled up to the guard house to check in. Turned truck off, came back, turned the key and the motor cranked once and then stopped. Cycled the ignition and it started fine. It did this a week and a half ago in Morris, IL but i brushed it off as a fluke event. I can’t ignore it if it does it a 2nd time. Talked to breakdown but they’re about as confused as i am about the problem.

I’ve about had it with this truck. I’ve never had as many problems with a truck as i’ve had with this one. I’m on recruitings list for a Volvo but i’m this close to calling Rachel and telling her that i don’t care if it’s a Volvo, KW, or even a Mack. I’ll even drive the #### yard truck at this point. I’ve had extremely bad luck with Freightliners at this company

Come to think of it, the only Freightliner i never had an issue with is when i drove for Magnum. I got it with about 195k on it or so and never had any major problems with it in the 14 months i drove it

It’s a truck that has 3 or 4 computers in it. Stuff happens. Sometimes I have to cycle my key a second time if the truck hasn’t been shut down long, sometimes it will fire right up but it shows a hill assist fault on the dash, but most of the time it starts with no issue.

I learned with my last truck that unless there’s an active fault or the truck won’t run it’s a dead end road trying to chase issues that happen every now and then.

That happens with the 2013 T800 I drive everyday. It’s a normal thing with trucks. Mechanic is probably confused as to what the problem is since there doesn’t seem to be one.

Just about everything on market has had wiring harness issues for several years.

it has less than 50k miles though so it shouldn’t have these issues. This truck is slightly newer in the production line than mine (1905/1919) but is otherwise specced identically down to the color. 1905 has never had any of the constant problems 1919 has had. I don’t really want my old truck back either because after the licking it took, they’re never the same. I learned that when i took auto body class at tech college. I’ve known several people who have gotten into wrecks that have required extensive repair, and they regretted getting it fixed vs just taking the insurance payout because their vehicle never quite operated correctly after that

It’s a 2013 though. Neither would I. The issue i have is that this is a 2025 truck that’s only been in service for not even 6 months yet, and it’s having all these issues. That doesn’t bode well for when it gets mileage and age on it

Probably built on a Friday or a Monday. Where they're either preoccupied with their weekend plans, or recovering from them.

Picking up a Yakima load but i was told by the planner to not head up there until after lunch. Some production issues so they’re late loading the trailer. Load is going to the Twin Cities area. Haven’t been to ND since i drove for Magnum so i’m looking forward to the drive along 94. Receiver is FCFS throughout the week so I’ll take my reset somewhere here in WA and deliver first thing Friday morning
