Thanks for getting back with me. It sounds good. I will probably have to wait til I get my own truck though. If I have to start out with company first and since that doesn’t allow pets in the truck then that’s going to be a problem. I have a 5 month kitty.

Got up at 2300 in Cedar City, Utah and busted my hump to get to Redlands, Ca. before the madness. Pulled up to the gate at 0545, dropped my loaded trailer and grabbed an empty. I came over here to Meca, California to get live loaded going to Albert Lea, Minnesota. They wanted it there Tuesday, but my hours won’t allow it, so they are scheduling it for first thing Wednesday morning.

Most of the time our loads have plenty of time on them, I just hate fighting traffic, so
I do what I have to do to avoid hitting major metropolitan areas at rush hour. I could have left Utah later, but would have fought Vegas morning rush, so I bit the bullet and got up early to avoid Vegas and the LA basin BS.

Just curious what route you all prefer from the yard to Four Oaks?

To me it’s 6 of of 1 half dozen of another. The mileage is pretty comparable going 80,74,US35,64,77,40,95 or 80,29,465,70,64,77,40,95 and finally 80,29,465,70,64,24,40,95. I live near Charlotte, so sometimes if I want to spend the night at the house I will go the last way and make a detour by the house. I go all three ways to break up the monotony.

Dropped my honey load a day late fighting my 70, they knew it when they gave it to me. Head to Janesville WI to the Union Pacific railyard to pickup 18 reefer units (off trailers) to take them to Carrier in Omaha. Had to spin those things on pallet jacks and push them to the nose. 1700 lbs each. Luckily another driver was there and we loaded his trailer first. We were two humped puppies. I know he made it to Rochelle Petro, and I pushed onto the J in Davenport IA. Dropped on Friday morning, shagged a trailer in Lincoln NE at SYSCO, then dropped and hooked at IAMS with 12k of doggie chewys headed to wait for it.....CHEWYS in Ocala for Monday 9am. Currently at the J near KY/TN border. Will roll to Redneck, I mean Reddick FL Petro tomorrow. Nashville and Atlanta on a Sunday, yeah, better leave early!

I HATE that place, and most of the time, my former company was a drop and hook. Easy to get to, ample room to back in, but it was a real pain all three times I went there.
