Dropped in Four Oaks, bounced over to Elizabethtown, NC, currently getting live loaded going to Belvedere, Illinois for a drop anytime Saturday.

    That's a nice 900+ mile run.
How will you approach this? What hours will you drive? Do you already know where you will stop to eat or do you tend to make that decision on the fly based on current conditions? Do you plan to get there early Thursday? Why or why not?

Apologies for the long winded questions, but you tend to provide good insights that others can benefit from.

Actually I do have a question. Are LP trucks speed governed? What about if you own your truck?

Lease trucks are governed at 75mph, I believe drivers that bring there own trucks aren’t restricted on speed.

I like to start my day between 0200/0300 each day, by doing this I’m not fighting for a parking spot at the end of the day. Since I can’t drop until Saturday I will probably run about 650 miles tomorrow, which will put me near Indianapolis (I’m currently near Fayetteville, Nc) I usually have a goal pre-set in my mind before I start my day where I want to shutdown at. Sometime tomorrow I will get a prelplan for Saturday (I have a pretty good idea where I will reload at) When I drop in Illinois I will have right at 11 hours left on my 70. Most of the time we either reload near Chicago or up in Wisconsin going back to Nebraska.

Do driver's at FCC frequently run recap hrs instead of getting 34 resets?

Some guys run recaps as a matter of preference, I choose to run hard for 6 days and get in a reset. Company doesn’t care either way.
