Right… the last time I was there I found myself like 4-5 “levels” high… I had to slow down just a tad to take in just how high off the ground they took this 80k truck… lol
was a weird feeling as well… loldrvrtech77 Thanks this. -

So I looked at and ended up buying that 73 Buick. Had it gone through this morning at the garage and it's actually in pretty good shape for 52 years old. Only a few things wrong with it. Speedometer didn't work. Found out it was just a broken speedo cable, like a $20 part and got that fixed. Valve cover gaskets are leaking which will be addressed here in a couple weeks. And that old Quadrajet will have to be pulled at some point and gone through. It still works decently but age is catching up to it. Other than that it received a clean bill of health.
Traded my old Ford pickup i had sitting around for some free parts and labor. I'm also planning on selling my 75 Cadillac since there's just too much work to do on it and I have zero motivation to dive into that bag of worms. Plus i think my Buick is cooler.
In other non car related news, Matt has me set up to drag a load out of ACT tomorrow on the West Jefferson turn. There's probably cobwebs growing on my truck since it's been sitting there at the yard for almost 3 weeks48Packard Thanks this. -
Put a modern carb on it something like 600 cfm and recurb distributor with medium to light springs. And some good sparkplugs and wires and check the pvc valve give a good chance to do it's best.....assuming it's got good compression on all cylinders.

Was sent down to Star Dist in Florida… I think I might have been here one other time but not sure if it was a Green or Red Truck. Probably Red, but I get down this way so much more infrequently now that I’m in a Red Truck.
Then heading to Savannah to grab some Toys heading to Moorestown NJ.runningman0661 Thanks this. -
Fuel must've went up while I was on vacation. The price range I'm seeing is $3.15-$3.30 across the majority of stops along I-70
Finally underneath my trailer. Let's see if I remember how to drive a truck
