I asked Dispatch this morning, she said that drivers ONP there all the time, and as for the guards. She said what they don't know won't hurt them.

Well I’m shut down here on the western edge of Nebraska. All kinds of Road Closures for Light High Profile Trucks. I only have 4k of Big Boys Four Wheel Toys in the back so I really didn’t want to end up on my side somewhere in Wyoming… that would probably ruin my day… lol
And today looks like much of I80 in Wyoming is now closed due to ice/snow and still high winds in places.
so screw it… I’ll see what is reported later and maybe roll out later or just take a 34 here today and see what morning brings.
Shut down last night in a little gravel parking lot of a Diner in Kimball NE… I guess it’s now an Indian Restaurant… so I’ll go in here in a bit and toss them some thank you money for having a parking lot for us truckers and get me a spicy dish of … well … I don’t know much about Indian Cuisine other than it’s a bit spicy… so wish me luck… lolKnucklehead, Friend, runningman0661 and 3 others Thank this. -
Is anyone else having strange internet performance yesterday and today? I have a very good connection at least for downloading. But a few sites, games, and even YouTube seems a bit delayed or occasionally locked up.
not every site so it seems maybe some middle man service like AWS or similar service acting up.
I guess maybe Verizon could be having some kind of issue too.
just seems a bit off at times.Friend and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
Does anyone know if the Dallas yard is full this Sunday?
Friend Thanks this. -
I have Verizon cell service and mobile hotspot everything's good with that but I also have a T-Mobile hotSpot and here in the last 2 months it's been dog s***Friend and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.

My brother was having problems with Verizon on his way to Grand Island yesterday, but with the fires in NE it’s hard telling how much infrastructure has been damaged.

ok, just been a bit strange for two days.
I was thinking of switching to Mint (bought by T-Mobile) … what was your experience with T-Mobile before the last two months?
Trying to adjust my packages to meet my needs now that I added StarLink to the mix. So far it’s looking like keeping Verizon I guess. I really wish StarLink had a mid tier in mobile like they do for homes.
They made some changes so their cheap slow unlimited for $5/mo doesn’t work over 10 mph… so that’s tossing a wrench into my plans. Either 100 gig for $50/month and then unlimited but slow data after that… or the $165/mo unlimited high speed.
I just can’t bring myself to pay for both Cellular and that unlimited package.
Probably just go to the $50 package. Just wish I could control when I wanted to use the 100 gig of high speed vs just the first 100 gig of the month. I hate wasting limited high speed data on emails etc.Last edited: Mar 15, 2026
