I will say this..if something is wrong or missing with your truck, Shane and Travis will bend over backwards to make it right. The maintenance/breakdown department is the strongest plus at this company

A coupe of hours of digging later and they found out why the A/C would only pull fresh air even when I pressed the recirculation button. Bad actuator in the dash.

Got the same issue in my 2008 Grand Cherokee.

I knew something was up when a bull hauler went by and I almost passed out from the smell even though I had the recirculation button pressed and the windows closed. That and the A/C takes its time to get cold just pulling fresh air. Not really an issue now but it would be when it inevitably gets to 110 in Texas48Packard and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.

There are no bad actuators, they’re just misunderstood.Bud A., M22 rockcrusher, wulfman75 and 6 others Thank this.

If they have it equipped with coolant shutoff valves to the front heater core, that helps a lot. The older Freightliners used to have such crappy a/c systems, you had to shut them off any time the temps would be mid-80's or above. Unfortunately, when they install an APU, most companies tie them into the sleeper's heater core hoses so that rules that option out. The only company I worked for that had their trucks spec'd with the APU install setup was Big G's T-680.cdavis188, M22 rockcrusher and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.

At least the coolant shutoff valves for the APU are right under the hood, in plain sight, and very obvious on my Volvo. You don't have to reach under the cab or some play the guessing game like I did with a couple other trucks. Both shutoff valves are right next to each otherhope not dumb twucker Thanks this.

SWR was just a placeholder so I could get used to being in a truck full time again. I want to go back to MWR but stay out 2-3 weeks at a time so I can take my truck home. You could argue that MWR only goes as far as KC/Topeka and Nebraska, but on OTR they deadheaded me home from said areas anyways (as far away as Omaha or North Platte on a couple occasions) so I don't see the issue if I stay out on that fleet for a few weeks at a time before going home. I like running the Midwest a lot more and Matt is a great dispatcher

Delivered my fence load in Oceanside last Monday. From there got a load of gearboxes going from Costa Mesa to Lindsay NE.
En Route dispatch offers me to drop the trailer in Fremont and grab a coil off the yard that delivered in Fort Worth last Friday.
From there picked up stone in San Saba that went to Omaha this morning. Also knocked out a 34 and a service this morning.
Next load, poles from Valley to Elkhart Indiana for tomorrow.Friend, Knucklehead, runningman0661 and 2 others Thank this.
