I love those old GM yachts! I intend to buy one when I finally retire. Again.

 

mine is a '73 LeSabre Custom. Peasant spec. Manual windows/locks, AM radio, no cruise control. Air conditioning was about the only option it was ordered with. Wheels are off a Riviera. You get a steering wheel, a V8 and that's it. It was made a couple years before a lot of emissions stuff was mandated, so no catalytic converters or smog pumps. It also has the best ride of any vehicle I've ever had.

 

I’ve owned three big Oldsmobiles at various times. A ‘73 88, a ‘78 88, and my favorite, a ‘79 98 Regency. My mom had a ‘69 Riviera.

But that 98 was sweet. I still miss it, and I traded it in probably 39 years ago.

Sometimes I run 67 so they can tell everyone they passed a long hood.

 

My truck has been running at 68 to save fuel lately with the increasing costs of fuel. Side note in Tennessee I got fuel at Walmart because it's cheaper than the truck stop $4.49 vs $4.89 currently even with the fuel discount. The trucks driving more than 70 must be working for peanuts.

 

I run 65 (or 64 according to my GPS). About the only trucks I'm passing are Raider Express and Prime. Do I care? No
