$3k for a fan clutch............ I can buy that whole ### Suburban I shared for less than that. Full size 8 passenger SUV for less than the cost of a fan clutch. Unreal

 

I don't have to really replace it yet I might find a shop that can use a rebuild kit for $700 for the parts and then labor. Maybe I will ask another boss shop about it lol. Oodia does have a good discount program so I got the ac fixed for $1k total.

 

Yeah the A/C sounds reasonable, but not the fan clutch. Unless fan clutches are way more complex then I think they are

 

Why not break out the toolbox and replace it yourself on your next hometime? It's not the most technical repair.

 

At $3k I’m wondering if it doesn’t have a viscous fan clutch. That’s what I ordered on the 2022 Pete I had.

 

It's a 2 speed horton

 

It weighs 62lbs it takes two men working on it and you have to move the radiator and everything forward. Mechanic at fcc said it's a pain but doable maybe if I had help.

 

The heat killed my apu I guess throwing a code so I will have to get that sorted tomorrow morning so I can run the apu.

 

Thermo King in Evansville got me in and fixed it $1,300 later but it was caused from rubbing caused from the previous installer not securing it correctly rubbed through refrigerant lines.

Got sent a load yesterday to pickup today outside of Campbellsville KY going to Oktaha OK for Friday morning delivery. Rumor is to pickup stone Friday going to Omaha.

Surgery went well. Recovery has gone well. I'm counting every second for these stitches to dissolve.
