Might have been just a temp move during contract negotiations or got such backlash from drivers that any savings didn’t matter.

All of the drivers complained, ive heard a few have refused to go back to the property. I think what finally did it was the drive by shooting that happened a few weeks ago. The owner just acted likr a jerk, told me it wasnt his ptoblem that one of his guys blocked me and then locked me inside and them called me an ifiot for not reachimg thru the gate to attempt to unlock it and i told him the fence is electric and im not getting shocked by attempting to play with the lock and them he said he didnt care and for me to get my ##* off his property because fcc doesnt have his permission to be on hid property no more. Ive got to pick my trailer up there in the morning and im hoping its my last time having to go there. I already called the company as soon as it was over because they were working on finding a local driver to come unlock the gate to let me out, but its not going to go down so simple if this happens again, ill be calling the police on the guy. There was no reason for him to act the way he did, i think it was just him taking a little revenge on fcc leaving their contract with him, rhe property is completly unsafe and im happy as hell fcc management listened to their drivers and are working on getting us out of there, ACT is a very nice property, hopefully they worked out a bettet deal with us so we can stay there for awhile this time. I understand FCCs side, they have to do whats the smartest business wise and the price was getting to high for them to justify using their lot, but them listening to the drivers concerns speaks volumes, they put safety over money

I’ve been impressed with how often they are giving us messages over the QC about weather issues or NYE Drunk Drivers and at a couple point out right telling us to shut down. Not that it’s not still the Drivers Call if/when to shut down but leaning heavily towards safety and letting Drivers know they prefer safety over delivery.

and ya, I’m sure that guy was very upset but there was no reason to take it out in the Driver just doing the job. Yes, a police escort might be needed next time. :)

Absolutly, ill find out in just a bit what kind of adventure ill go thru with there today lol. They have been easy to deal with, a few weeks ago we hadthose 80mph winds here in the midwest and i was preplanned to go deliver a loaded trailer and bring an empty home with me and i told them i was holding off on driving and that i would deliver the following morning and they were real cool with it, they ended up sending the office staff home early that day before the winds had a chance to getworse

Dropped in Rome GA last night and taking a 34 today. Thinking, since I’m BT, I might grab a hotel tonight to get out of the truck for a bit. Head back in the morning to grab an MT and start it all over again.

Where is everyone else heading today?

    stay safe wherever you go

Just hope you aren't sent over to I-95 in VA. Parts of it are still closed between Ruther Glenn and DC
