FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Double post. Kinda like a Camp Lejeune ad….

 

Got to my mom’s house this afternoon for a several week visit. Ten minutes after turning on the TV….

 

Oh, so this is what it looks like when two big trucks touch each other on the interstate at speed.



I24 south of Nashville. Rolling down the road and the guy on my left comes over into me. Pull over along the interstate to check it all out. Not much damage to either truck. His mirror was already busted, from something the day before. And just ripped into the outer skin of my trailer.

But gotta stick around for police reports etc. no tickets but the officer assign cause to the other driver for leaving his lane.

Heading to Fremont after my next drop to get it repaired and check out the side camera view.

And just as an update, I reached out to FCC to see about those 3 out of 4 loads all in one day that went a bit sideways. Was told what probably happened internally (some strange issues popped up the prior week causing a disruption in the force) and just a fluke that one driver received three of the effected loads.

everything should be back to the normal high quality level that we have grown way too comfortable with here at FCC.

 

That is becoming quite frequent for some reason. Happy for you it wasn’t worse. Very happy you have side cams.

Left the house yesterday with a load from Chesapeake VA, my old stomping grounds headed to Eau Claire WI for tomorrow and pickup same headed to Valley NE for Friday, then I am guessing a weekend trip back to Four Oaks NC.

 

Agreed. It can always be worse. And just a whole in one panel is an easy fix. Can see where his lug nuts rubbed my rims too but again, no damage.

 

Probably. Been feeling a bit negative lately. LOL

And yes, he probably was but it’s a good reminder to be careful out here. It happens just THAT fast.
