I can fit 28 pallets in our trailers… as long as they ‘pinwheel’ the pallets . One in straight, one sideways, alternating all the way out. At least I can with these pharmaceutical pallets.

first… Do you have a down payment? If you do, start talking to a few banks and see what finance options you can work out. That’s the direction I think I’d go if I ever buy my own truck. Then if something goes sideways, I can just move the truck to another company without issues of who owns the truck etc. (but I’m fairly happy as a Company Driver)
second… weekly vs monthly isn’t much different. If making a single monthly payment is important to you, simply fund the first four weekly payments up front and then let them take the weekly out of it before making your next monthly payment. It’s an extra step but might accomplish what you want done.
Or maybe just sign on as a Company Driver and see how it works and save up a down payment. Might like not having the headache of O/O.popcorn169 and runningman0661 Thank this. -

You now have a truck payment, multiple insurance deductions liability, bobtail, cargo, etc. You have to start a maintenance account, put money away quarterly taxes, a truck WILL breakdown. There is a technician shortage, and a parts shortage. So when the truck breaks down you could be without income for weeks or even months. Could you pay your bills if this happens?
Being an O/O or L/P driver isn’t easy in the good times, and in our current economy with high inflation and equipment prices it’s hard AF right now.
One final point, as a first time buyer right now in this current market, getting financed will be next to impossible without a huge down payment. Lending institutions don’t like to finance class 8 trucks, and record number of companies and individuals are failing right now. So unless you pay cash for a truck you aren’t getting financing.
