Picked up a load in Aurora yesterday going to Mars in Lancaster, TX. Dropped that a little over an hour ago. Went up to near Dallas Love airport and just picked up a load of pallets going back to Omaha.

Running a sleeper split right now so I'll have to find somewhere to chill for a few hours to get back more time, probably somewhere in southern Oklahoma.

Hoping to make home tonight so I can take a 10 in my own bed, then head out Monday morning to Omaha.

Taking a few hours at the J in Ardmore. It's 96 degrees and feels like 112. I hate summer.

Was in the 1-teens in Midland/Odessa TX yesterday. At 9 pm it was still 107. On I-8 in Gila Bend, AZ right now it was 113 right before I got off the interstate. Running the SW regional, you're likely gonna see some toasty weather this summer

My truck hasn't been shut off today since I started my day except for a couple minutes when I needed to speak to a reciever. I don't trust my APU to keep up in the middle of the day.

Mine doesn't do as good keeping up either, until I put the insulated panels over the glass and a small fan keeping the cool air moving around the truck, then it does pretty good.

    dwells40 and cdavis188 Thank this.

Slight change of plans. Talked to Tim this morning and we settled on finishing a reset here at home. I don't really need one right now but I would most likely run out of hours either tomorrow night or Wednesday. Coming out on a Thursday put me in a weird position as far as hours and hometime.

Planning on dropping this load of pallets in CB tomorrow. Still unsure whether I want to take the 4th off or not.

Also if I were to go up to CB today, I'd have about 2,450 paid miles in about 4.5 days, which seems pretty good to me.

    bzinger Thanks this.

Most days mine is ok but I’ve had a few days during a 34 that it wouldn’t keep up and I’d run the truck. Sometimes I pull the divider curtains to keep the cool air confined but that only helps so much too.

FCC advertises MWR company drivers as making 83k/year average running 2500-2800 miles per week.

But they advertise SWR as only 75k/year average, with higher mileage figures.

Is there something I'm missing? Do MWR drivers get something SWR drivers don't? It makes no sense to my brain

This didn't take long .....already had to give dispatch a little eye opener .
They sent me an impossible to get picked up on time load that I had to haul ### to get picked up 3 hours late, been sitting here almost 3 hours now and still not loaded.
I'm pretty sure dispatch and I will be having another chat tomorrow morning.
