Dawson, NE on 75. Actually had to pull over for a few minutes till the worst of it past. 70MPH winds with some silverdollar size hail.

    bzinger and cdavis188 Thank this.

That's the Tractor Supply DC in Waverly, easy in and out. A little hit or miss with getting an empty outta there though.

FYI if anybody is heading to Crete, ya might want to take 77 to 33, sat through a 5 mile backup westbound just after Lincoln all the way to the Crete exit. It's road construction, down to one lane, but nobody knows how to merge till the last second as usual. Might just be today but be advised if you're heading west ya might wanna check out the live traffic before you scoot through Lincoln..... This has been traffic on the 5's !!

Hopping on US-6 is an option too. It parallels 80 for a good 15 miles west of Lincoln.

Yup, I was just thinking about Crete cause that's where I was headed, but you're right.

    #### that looks wild. I park my truck near my local airport for hometime and it's not uncommon to have very strong straight line winds through the immediate area during severe storms.

I love weather and at one time wanted to become a meteorologist. I always stop and take pictures of approaching storms if I can.

This was southwest of Topeka on the turnpike in late March of last year. It was a lot darker than my phone camera made it out to be. Screenshot_20230629_183356_Facebook.jpg

I just finished “training”, tomorrow I finish up some final details and should get my truck.

    A great experience so far.

Qwip Trip is the best to stop and grab a bite to eat, or stock your fridge on the road. Great spot.

I got called a dinosaur by a GP Transport driver, wasn’t sure about why until my trainer explained the DOT number we have….

I tell ya some days I don't even want to do this job anymore, this industry has gone sh@#!!!... one of these days I'm gonna loose my s@%# and knock the p@ss out of one of these lazy fat arsses that think it's OK to block the fuel island for 30+ minutes while they go in to get their s@#%!!... have a little respect for your fellow drivers, that's what parking spots are for. The level of stupidity and incompetence I've encountered this week alone is ridiculous
