They do that at the West Memphis Pilot. At any given time of the day or night there will be 2 or 3 Grounds taking there 30 minute break on the fuel island.

They choked them down to 65 mph last year but in the last few weeks I’ve seen several running 70+ mph again.

Confronting them will only get you into an altercation, More effective to take a picture of the tractor unit # and notify their terminal. The problem with that it is difficult if not impossible to get to the right safety/HR people to try and get them fired.

I thought that everyone parks on the fuel island at a Loves. It's the Arby's sauce.

That’s Freight, not Ground. Freight moves too slow to do that.

@OLDSKOOLERnWV , is this the stretch of 50 between Clarksburg and Parkersburg?

    shogun and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this.

Seen a FedEx double yesterday cross the zipper in front of me, dang near snagged a passing 18.
Couple years ago 2 different FedEx plowed through the guardrail and over the bank, both within 7 days at same location! That was I-64 east on Institute hill, between crosslanes and Dunbar exits.

There are 2 different threads on this site by CDL holders with NO driving experience AT ALL asking about going O/O with Fedex, so none of this really surprises me. It would appear Fedex has extremely low standards for hiring drivers.
And it would appear that they are lower than Swift on the quality of driver scale.

Considering my background and personality, confronting them would not have been the best option. I have little patience for that type of behavior, so I took the most effective approach. I did tell the employees In the store what they we’re doing, so I hope it was addressed. If not I will talk to their company next time.

    OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this.

If a driver is so relaxed he puts his hoof up on the dash... he doesn't need to be in the truck, it only takes a second and you lost control!!! Passed a FedEx on 70 in Ohio doing just that, that rig is not a sports car or a motorcycle.
