Felony & being on Parole automatically mean no job?

I would think the parole board would let you visit on home time and would work with you since you are trying to get a job.

I think if I was going to give advice I would have to know the details. The OP said he was not going to sugar coat anything but did not tell why he killed someone or the whole story.

Before I hired a paroled killer I would want to know the whole story. Maybe he killed his boss ???

I am all for second chances but the dead person does not get a get a second chance.. I hope it is all in the past and you have changed and you get a job driving and things work out for you.

If I knew the whole story I could answer differently but if you killed someone and meant to do it you should have never been let out of prison and should be on death row. IMHO

Makes it very very hard to answer, if it was an accident , no problem.

When I worked for a roofing supply company we had a Class A driver that ran a conveyor truck. Local work slinging bundles of shingles and other roofing supplies. He had a murder conviction.

 

Try Valley Bulk Inc, Victorville, CA ask for Jeff hes the owners, he has hired guys with records in the past and as a rule they were all good drivers created very little problems. There number is listed.

 

Not suprising how brave and mouthy people get hiding behind a keyboard. We are all just one decision away from being in the same place.

Maybe you missed my point, witch is why I asked for the circumstances, if a fight happened, yes I've been in a few, in this case, I don't think he should have to suffer for the rest of his life, but if it was something else, we'll! Then yes he should, I life is gone and will never return to their family and friends, maybe car accident, or something, but receiving a life sentence make me think maybe not accidental

 

If he was released after ten years then we are clearly talking about an accidental killing from a very poor decision

 

I work with a guy who is a convicted murderer. He is a former gang member that shot a rival gang member. He spent 12 years in prison before being released early. He served his time and changed his life. I never would have thought that he had killed someone or even did time in prison if he didn't tell me.
