File fit rings

Does anybody know if there are file fit rings for a 16.5 to 1 12.7 Detroit?

The rings from Detroit are worn out before they are installed, measuring .038 end gap new.
That is ~.007 per inch of bore.

looking for more like .020 or so...

I suggest you research Mahle pistons, they have some good info on piston types, and ring gaps. They also manufacture original Detroit pistons and I’m guessing rings also.
