This process is way more complicated than any other company I have ever applied to. But as of now it's over!!! I head out on Saturday and many things have fallen into place as far as assignments for now and for the future. I can't wait! I feel like an eight year old at Christmas! I have heard good things about my mentor and cannot wait to meet him.
Finally Coded!

He is awesome! I will post updates as I get time (and WiFi)
So life has changed. Yesterday I jumped into a 2012 Freightliner Cascadia. Tonight I am going to bed next to The Great Salt Lake. Tomorrow I will spend the night in Billings MT. No one knows which way the wind blows, but I hope to be sending much needed funds home soon. The trucking industry is very different than it was 25 years ago. Some much needed changes, some things were better the way they were.
I just can't figure out why they painted SWIFT on a truck that only goes 62mph. -
Congrads! Round2 !! Happy for you!
Keep us posted on your journey with Swift -
And, mine goes 63. -

Gratz man. Rumor has it, swift is working on getting WiFi put into their trucks. I read about other companies with Mifi(Shared Wifi in truck) and asked instructor while I was in Memphis and he said that Swift is working on getting it in their trucks. So soon we'll have WiFi no matter where we stop. Looking forward to that. In the mean time, I guess I'll be getting a Verizon MiFi adapter. I have one more week of training in Richmond hopefully this week coming up, then hopefully soon off to get on the road myself. I am highly excited.

2695 mi/6 days, 48.75 hrs. Tomorrow should put me over 3000 plus a few for my mentor. Good start. My deadhead in the morning will put me over the 50 hr mark so we can start running hard as a team.
