Duncan and Son's out of Buckeye AZ. Good company. They also pay per diem. HOWEVER, now you tell me? They tax it.

Do not allow any company to take over your per diem and leave you holding the tax bag.

If they refuse, find another company.

I understand perdiem has gone bye bye as of this year. It's too bad because it was a very useful line item deduction back in our time in 2001. (I think it was about 13700 dollars against taxes pending for 306 service days out that year)

I dont know what taxes you will pay on 13000 but you get nothing but headaches...

They tax it so they can't even call it per diem

Probably not many Kentuckians work there either; definitely not the place for me.

Correct. Per diem is not taxable. It's not income.
