With all due respect, that is the problem in the trucking industry, the brokers get rich and truckers that don't know 50¢mile is crap pay, I wish people stick together on this issue
With my experience that is crap pay for the work being done
I want 2k gross guaranteed/week
Of course as long as I'm available to work my as off.
Fined by my company, is this legal?

3 years finally made it to 7.50/hour.
But did get time and a half, all the hours you wanted, but going on the road was only .32/mile then, which i did too, flatbed, no tarp pay either.
Lot better now than then, better equipment too.Coolcrazydan71 Thanks this. -
Does your girlfriend have a CDL?
-
Then she can start driving up to the limit of a new driver
Hope that makes sense -
The next step then is to find a company that will allow you to train her.
Doubt you'll make the money needed to buy a condo though, pulling dry vans.
Dry van drivers, posting on here, say they're sitting most of the time now due to the economy.hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -

1099 doesn't mean one consistent type of operation. At some places the company provides all equipment and drivers pays for every expense. At another company driver brings his truck/trailer and pays some expenses & company pays for other expenses. If you don't know everything, don't do 1099. The people that ignore warnings about 1099 are going to be broke & poor their whole life because their problem isn't money, it is making bad decisions and never learning from them.
1099 ALWAYS means YOU BETTER SAVE 25% OF REVENUE TO PAY TAXES OR YOU ARE IN TROUBLE. -
