Specifically port of Baltimore. Can a driver check a firearm at the gate and retrieve it when leaving? I assume the firearm can not remain in the truck when on port property?

I don't know about Baltimore, but the one I go to, I used to leave it in its holster until I lost it in a boating accident.

No need to worry about a search at Dundalk/Seagirt. However, MD hates your right to bear arms and have many restrictions on said right so make sure you have the firearm unloaded, in a covered holster or box and tucked away in the sleeper.
RockinChair, wis bang and JonJon78 Thank this. -
Last port I went to I just lost it outside the gate, in the ocean. Found it on the way out.
Big tip, don't try a military base, mofos check every where every time.Bean Jr., RockinChair and Opendeckin Thank this.
