I am not entirely sure if he meant Length or Wattage. I do not know what a 10k Antenna is or does or where the wattage comes into play. I know my company only allows a stock setup, we cant have a linear or anything really. -
A 10k or monkey made is the alum ant with big visable coils..

Reason for edit: just realized I was hijacking thread. Unintentional. Sorry. Will post new Thread. -
My new antenna should be arriving tomorrow. Once I start getting installed ill post some pictures.

I've had the best results with fiberglass antenna's on freightliner's.I have a 5ft firestick on my mirror mount, and it gets the job done.
-
I bought the 7ft skipshooter that was linked to me earlier in the thread. My local usps has it so im just waiting for the mail to run for it to show up. From my limited searching on the internet Fiberglass does seem to be the way to go on the freightliner. This is my first truck so ill be learning along the way.
Finfn1372 Thanks this. -
Just make sure you tune the antenna when you get it.Have a 4 1/2ft backup skipshooter,I like those antennas.
-
Its not cause of the fibreglass its cause mostly of the coil being up much higher..On the cascadias the mount point is low so getting it way up there is a good thing.. -
It just may not tune with the nail in it..Might have to buy a cheap stinger that fits in the hole and have a longer stinger than provided..
Others say theirs tuned ok but my analyzer says nope..Go longer so i did..3-4 " i think
