First Random Drug Screen

I got my first invitation to participate in the school "random" drug screen today. The selected group was full of nervous looking people, so I guess we are going to come up light on people in a few days.

The test giver got miffed when I insisted my sample never leaves my sight, and I verify the labels and the paperwork before they were attached to my samples. Chain of custody stuff. Everything he did was in my sight. I told the others to do the same, and got thanked because the idiot mixed up paperwork on two people and made him redo the paperwork while they peed again. He was testing four at a time and got confused.

Always treat drug screens as a potential chance to get crossed up on. Once you initial and date the samples the excuse of "they must have mixed up the paperwork" aint going to fly. Keep your eyes on your sample and the paperwork at all times. Guard your CDL against the careless. Any doubt in your mind about anything done at these labs means pee again with fresh paperwork

 

I've noticed a pattern at my school. My program is five months broken down into five modules of a month each. By the time you are in your fourth module the financial aid payments have cleared the bank and the school starts sending out fourth and fifth module students for random drug screening. The school has to get the government cheese before they start kicking out students. I have seen a few bona-fide reasonable suspicion cases get sent earlier. If you show up to class reeking of weed that can be smelled down the hallways you get sent out. Understandable.
