First solo trip OTR how to avoid anxiety over finding parking

Good tip, I had no idea you could do that.

 

Great advice here, my only disagreement would be plan for 9 hours of drive UNLESS you have a guaranteed parking place such as a yard or known customer that allows overnight. 10 hours especially on the east coast doesn't allow for much if your first 2 spots are slammed.

 

Same thing works for SiriusXM radio service, although I believe they give a 30 or 90 day free-trial. You just need to supply a new email address. BTW, it's easy to get satellite radio for about $5/month instead of the $20-30/mo they advertise. During the free trial, or maybe shortly after the free-trial ends you will get an email from SiriusXM and they will offer an 'app only' subscription for $4.99 or 5.99. Every once in a blue moon they will offer that $4.99 and include your car radio/standalone satellite receiver. At $5/mo I recommend everyone with a good dataplan on their phone have a satellite radio subscription, live sports, live news, live music, live comedy it's pretty good.

 

Late at night in a big city can be just as hard at a Swift terminal. Denver and Atlanta come to mind.
Try Otay Mesa any time of day.

For the most part you are right, if you happen to be in the right place at the right time.
That normally does not happen.

 

I never experienced this problem at a Schneider terminal.

But -- that was then, & this is now...

That doesn't necessarily mean this pblm doesn't also happen with Schneider, as well.
