Decent paycheck, but when I came to Schneider 11 months ago I was grossing about $1200-1500 a week pulling dry. I did about 2700-3300 week after week after week, run 5.5 days straight and get a restart every week.

I ran into many bulk drivers making much, much less than me. I was at the Houston Tanker OC one time and their was a Bulk Trainer Engineer their making less than $900 gross, and couldn't believe I was making that much more than him, as I was solo.

The biggest downside I saw while working at Schneider was that just about 95% of company drivers I talked to made only $600-$900 a week gross. The only guys that made more than me there were the IC Choice drivers.

In the 8 months I was their, I grossed $54,900 total. I was on track to hit about $75,000 my first year. Sadly, that eighth month they sent me too California for the first time and I was caught in a death spiral load route for 3 weeks straight with $700 gross paychecks and ended up quiting to work for K&B, where as long as I'm out on the road I get $1125 a week minimum, no matter how many miles I run.

Funny thing is, K&B has me sitting around so much, I barely feel I ever drive throughout the week. In the 2+ months I have been here, there are weeks I run less than 2000 miles and I still get my $1125 a week gross! And my truck comes with an APU, refrigerator, and a 2500 watt power inverter built in.

The down side to running K&B is it's 50/50 running days or night shift, depending on the load.

That's what stops a lot of people from doing reefer.

Hows it going Thull? I know this tread is kinda old. But I seen things been going well for you. Congratulations. I'm a Rookie Tanker Driver trying to drive For SN . I drove For Prime INC for 6 months. Recently I've been trying to get higher on. I just had a question do you drive OTR or just Regional?

    Advanced Thanks.
