Hey everyone. Was wondering if anyone knew any flat bed companies that hire rookies with no experience out of the New Mexico area? Currently living in PA, but would like to move in the near future. Thanks!

Appreciate the feedback. I’m trying to do flat bedding strictly in the southwest area and not east coast since the main goal is to move in the southwest. Pennsylvania sucks. Lol

No state income taxes in Nevada and Texas, plus Arizona is phasing out state income taxes.

Looks like Roehl Transport has a couple flatbed terminals in the Southwest; Phoenix & Las Vegas.
One driver here in Las Vegas area pulls flatbed for Roehl, but don't know how to contact him anymore.

News reports show in Phoenix, home prices and rents are going up substantially. Overall, Arizona is a nice state.
Still some good deals in Las Vegas area for home prices and rents.
One place here in Las Vegas/Henderson has been running ads for purchasing new homes with no money down.Pens4Stanley Thanks this. -
I had contacted Roehl last week and unfortunately they said their flatbed division is full.

What Does a Regional Trucking Operation Mean to a Driver?
More Time Spent at Home
A regional truck driver is someone who will stay within a certain region of the country, usually within a 1,000-mile radius of a certain point. The regions can be defined by sectors within the country such as the North East, South, and West Coast. Regional truck drivers generally live in the same region in which they work, so they have ample amount of time at home.

Did you try Western Express? Their flatbed division hires from all 48. Don't listen to what everyone says about them. You just gotta break into the industry some kind for way. You can get good experience and run some miles there. It'll get you some experience and you'll be able to move on to other flatbed companies. The issue is that most flatbed companies east of I-35. Also I'd try Swift's flatbed division and TMC.
Pens4Stanley and Chinatown Thank this. -
I don't think TMC hires that far West.bryan21384 Thanks this.
