Flatbed Trailer no brake release and no air bag inflation

I've seen the glad hands with the notch, most of the ones I've seen are universal. Including the painted ones.

Interestingly I had a problem once with an unpainted one with that notch in an extension that the shop built....

I'd check the truck I've been driving, but I'm off for the next couple days.

 

I don’t specifically look at every gladhand but I’ve never seen a colored one that would cross.

 

That's funny, because at my last company, many of the gladhands were colored, and the only one I ever saw that had that notch wasn't painted.

Guess it's just different manufacturers.

Now I noticed my glad hands weren't red and blue so I went in to the garage and dug up and older red and brand new blue and stuck them on there.

So there you go mister argument

 

The ones on the trailer certainly aren’t “standard” ones I see every day. Try to hook those red and blues in your second picture together, I’ll bet they won’t hook together.

I'll try that maybe tomorrow, after installing 8 new drives I'm tired and not going back out in the cold.

 

Yep because I stand by my original statement, regular gladhands won’t hook together. Yours are some kind of off brand.

 

I have glad hands with the tabs that are supposed to disallow crossing them. The tabs are easily defeated and you can, in fact cross connect them, or connect them together.

Your experience isn't everyone's experience.

 

That doesn't really apply to what hes saying. You totally missed the point here.
