Along with the kick back for the contract. And along with not paying more employees.

Employees of the consignee rather than those goons from Crapstone. That's my hope.

And yet it isn't usually the lumpers that are the problem, it is the receivers.
They are the ones making the rules the lumpers have to follow, and the rules we have to put up with.
Like counting and sorting and re-stacking the product before the drivers can be cut loose.

I would love it if some lumpers came in here to tell us their side of the story.

IMHO, let the drivers who have forklift certification unload there own trucks! No work comp involved for receiver, no wasted time for driver driver gets a little physical activity, receiver only has costs of forklift. Let the drivers determine how long it takes to unload there own truck. I would gladly do it. So I could roll on! C’mon

I've offered at about a million places. Only one has only taken me up on it. Dang insurance liability gets in the way of productivity every time.

So sorry lumpers, maybe they can move onto their next career choice, charging grocery store customers to carry their bags of groceries to their cars.

Because then the truck isn't there to put damaged or overage back on it.
