That be the way I always went in bad weather.
Then I would either cross over at Milton-Freewater or come back down and come out at arrowhead, depending where I needed to wind up.

Tghe snow gets serious deep up there, but still safer than cabbage with the chain law up. Your chance of meeting a steering wheel holder on tollgate is pretty slim when there is snow.
-
Yup, most of the traffic is the Bowman chip trucks that run it everyday.
-
You will rarely meet anything other than a chip truck. Or I should say used to, been 11 years since I have run it.

Don’t think I’ve been to that one but I know that Pilot in Stanfield is atrocious. Turned around and left and went to the Space Age in Hermiston, which is okay. Those places get overrun with mega carrier drivers because that’s where they get told to fuel up. Row after row of Volvo’s and Crapcadias.

That space age was nice when it was new, haven't been there in years. I always fueled at arrowhead, they would take my checks and gave me a discount.

.... shhh. Every time I say something on here about how easy a route is, or about an abundance of parking, it gets effed up almost instantly. Some things are best left unsaid
Roberts450 Thanks this.
