You actually don't need to set one up unless you plan on changing jobs. Starting 1/6/2020 companies will be required to query the clearinghouse whenever they hire a new driver. The prospective driver will have to be registered before that can happen.
But to answer your question, go to this site.

Not exactly true. Employers need to query it not only for new hires, but on the annual too. All employees will need to be registered by this time next year.
How it affects o/o though I haven't looked into.

So, from what I am reading on the website.. it looks like its an online database for drug tests; and I thought the MVR and DAC reports were enough.

JForce28, D.Tibbitt and Coffey Thank this.

    *one month after program implementation*
Federal Lab: "Oh god, we have a warehouse full of piss now.. what are we supposed to do with this?"
FMCSA: "Just test it when you get to it, we will buy more warehouses as they fill up."

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

Leased to LS, so I registered, as I’m pretty sure we’ll be required to. Pretty simple process.

If you’re on your own, I doubt you’d need to bother.

Looks like you can't be queried for future employment without being registered.

And I bet this is all news that probably 99% don't even know about.

First time I heard of it.

    D.Tibbitt and blairandgretchen Thank this.
