    It's percentile based compared to companies of similar size. Those scores are pretty good. The lower the better. Maximum score is 100. The threshold for extra scrutiny at scales is 60 in most basics. If you have prepass you will get green lighted a lot.

    So by the same token, if a company receives an overall FMCSA rating of SATISFACTORY (under the company "snapshot") then that's considered pretty good, right?

    All it means is they are below the 60% threshold. The lower the score the better and they change several times a year based on inspections.
