Most of the pro polishers I see online just sand then cut and polish.
The only time I’ve seen a guy want acid before polishing there was no sanding involved. Acid then straight to a one step cut. That’s the only time I’ve paid a “pro” to polish my tanks and wheels.
When I got home I sanded, cut, and polished my tanks. They came out drastically better, and it was my first time doing it.
