I saw a company truck with a brand new apu the other week on my way to Johnstown, ny. Are they going to have them on all trucks now?

Good for them for finally caring about driver comfort. And saving money in the long run

Its a money loser. The apu will never pay for itself. The math onky works out when you idle 6 or more hours a day and maintain the apu properly. Neither of which is the case here.

The only reason this is happening is vecayse of driver turnover . It won't fix that problem either.

    Opus and TennMan Thank this.

Yep, that is what they are advertising. A lot of companies are adding perks like increase speed, APU's, Inverters, refrigerators and guarantee pay. Guess what drivers! We are in high demand! lol

I like camping. I'm just worried about other campers. Seems like a lot of accidents lately.

    SingingWolf and atruckr Thank this.

Got my app rolling to return to the patch. In the process of doing so, I found out that the wreck I was involved in April a year ago was deemed Non-preventable! I guess the damage to the truck along with my explanation of what I truly believed happened matched up. Guy who was (I believe) was driving had a suspended license and claimed his girlfriend was behind the wheel. But I was never notified either way and just forgot about pursuing it.

I'm also applying for two other company positions, but again because of my family being on the left coast, Choice still makes sense for me. I park in Phoenix and rent a car to SoCal. Should make my decision by next Wednesday. SNI has already OK'd me and I've been accepted at one of the other companies.

Now, if you'll excuse me...I gotta get out of this suit....

They don't care about driver comfort, they care that drivers are sick and tired of their #### nickel and diming drivers.

    atruckr and SingingWolf Thank this.
