Found my steer brake like this on post trip

    Before I call a repair truck I am hoping someone can tell me what this is? I assume it's a piece of a broken spring but it's much thicker than the spring that isn't broken in the picture. Anyone know what it is?

    Yeah, broken big spring, from the other side of the shoe. You can see the coil of it here. Nice catch, most wouldn't have Screenshot_20241028_080941_Gallery.jpg

    Pretty sure it’s the big spring up by the rollers. Are the rollers gone, IMG_3120.jpeg

    Thanks guys. Not sure if the rollers are gone but I think I'm lucky in that it didn't seem to damage the brake pad itself.

    It normally won't, but depending how long it's been broken, the bottom shoe may have more wear on it.
