Horrifying moment entire bridge collapses sending structure crashing into river

 

Have traveled that bridge so many times around Baltimore. I hope that there are not any fatalities but that is not likely.

 

Been over it a few times myself back in the day. The news I was watching said they are looking for 20 people and supposedly there was a big truck on it also.

 

This is crazy, I was just talking to a guy about the bridge in Minneapolis yesterday. And then got a news email early this morning about this bridge in Baltimore.

However I had a conversation with a guy that does bridge inspections back in 2017. And he said alot of bridges in the U.S. are long overdue for upgrades. And many of them should be closed.

 

If you look close you can see an active work zone on the first span that collapsed with several construction vehicles. RIP to all, this terrible.

As bad as this is, thank G-d it happened at 1:30 in the morning instead of morning rush hour!
