How'd they make it sound good enough for you to sign on with them? The promise of $2000 per week? A shiny new truck? 4000 miles per week? Home every week? My curiosity looms......

Side note.....none of those aforementioned things happens all that much in trucking.

Yea a lot of fraud companies from those Eastern European / Uzbek companies. Shameless really. The best bet to get good pay and hometime is to find a good local gig or just bite the bullet and go owner op.

There are a few scammer companies out there like
KLM Trans (who change their DBA often)
IG transportation is one that wants you to pay for your hotel stay whilst going to their orientation… 1099 of course.
Prosport Express has seemingly gone legit now but still the same scammers as they used to be only not as much now as before.

Just don’t let the allure of 2000+ a week and brand new trucks get to you. If the economy is slow then no way they are making miles either but they know once they get drivers in their trucks they can at least get a months worth of free cheap labor out of them.

I've worked for a couple of the mega companies that everyone loves to hate. Three things I can say good about them. The paychecks were always on time, thry had terminals and drop yards everywhere, and nothing was held on with zip ties.

    I worked for Schneider bulk.
Though they had a lot of Mickey Mouse rules, and idiots as dbls, the equipment would pass inspection. some tank trailers look rough, but a lot are damaged at tank washouts, but it’s nothing OOS.
on hometime, tell the shop what’s going on, and when you go back out, and they’ll have it ready for you.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

Well, it sounds like you learned a good lesson about these types of companies. You should come here and ask about the next outfit you consider. Lots of good info on this site.
