I keep reading that it is hard to get out of Texas once you get there. What is freight like in Minnesota? I know freight is slower everywhere, but overall, is it pretty average or a little harder? It seems like when my old man used to drive truck, he could find loads out of this region fairly easy, but that has been 10 or 15 years ago now. This applies to van, flat, and reefer.

When I lived up there in Brainerd, I had no issues with freight (pulling flat). But I either had to go to the cities, Bemidji, Thief River Falls, or Roseau. Cities was usually steel, shingles, or precast concrete forms. Bemidji was always osb/plywood out of Potlatch (I heard they shut potlatch down). Theirf River Falls was always Artic Cat & Roseau was Polaris.
I just recently (a few weeks ago) unloaded just outside of Bemidji & found a good load out of Duluth that paid well & took me back into Indianna.... So, I haven't had any issues with Minnesota (Or Texas for that matter) with getting freight. -
