freightliner backdoor password

    hello.i have 2005 freight liner Columbia with mbe4000 motor.it used to be a fleet truck.i like to have access to the ECM.but the ECM is password protected.does anybody know the universal or what most called it BACK-DOOR password.stealership wants to charge way too much.any suggestions??

    That sucks. Only thing I could think is contact the mega it came from, and see if they have the code, but I just have a feeling that will not get you anywhere.

    Toss the engine, drop a older engine into it with a custom harness.

    Or sell the truck and purchase one with the things you want.

    Or get a laptop and hook it up while applying a brute force software until you gain access. Just keep in mind that a 16 digit password that includes the choices of the entire US Qwerty keyboard requires up to 20 years to force.

    I had to read it twice myself. At first I thought it said backdoor and safeword. Guess I know where my mind is at.

    There is no universal backdoor password, the backdoor password changes all the time. If you get it now, it wont work the next time you cycle the key. If you own the truck, just find another Detroit dealer and have them change it to what you want. Most just charge 1/2 hour labor.
