That particular driver was charged with 1st degree trailer homicide. He is currently awaiting sentencing while being held in a Great Dane jail.

Sentencing guidelines state that a crime of this nature be classified as a "trailer dislike crime" which can include "malicious intent to disfigure a trailer".

If imposed, such a sentence could include being required to work as a dispatcher for Western Express or trailer mechanic in Calexico, California.

Id part that out. Because I have parted out wrecked trucks into a matched fleet. Its like having additional 35k in used parts in your inventory. 1am and you need a mirror bracket. That wreck is worth its weight in gold.

I've worked on and drove most. I like KW and Pete, but own a FLD.

The R model was indestructible, the FLD was the next best.

@Siinman If we’re keeping count. Had another CEL, yesterday afternoon. None today. But, there’s still the rest of the week. Haha.

I keep a spare set of mirrors. I’ve had to use them twice over the years, till I couldn’t get mine replaced/repaired. If ever crossing a narrow bridge in Louisiana, with an oncoming Truck. Make sure your drivers windows rolled up. Beats picking glass out of your face. Lucky I didn’t get any in my eyes.

There are a few bridges where I reach out and pull the driver’s side mirror in if I see another truck coming. A lot of people like to ride down the middle like they are scared they will fall off the edge.

bzinger, Rideandrepair and mjd4277 Thank this.

I, for one, will never drive a truck without actual mirrors.

    bzinger and Rideandrepair Thank this.
