Yep waiting on a load assignment can cost you some time on the 14hr rule. I can say that is a weak point at Abilene, but at the end of the week you do end up with the advertised miles. I just ended my week with 3,800 miles and 3hr left on the 70.

Does abeline have some sort of arrangement with Boars Head Provisions? I deliver to them fairly often and I see Abeline pulling boars head trailers, it isn't like a dedicated account or something is it?

Yes, we have some guys on dedicated Boars head. I have pulled a few Boars head loads since I have been here. We run a lot of plant to plant with that account.

Hey SD, I start CDL school at Tri County over in Lebanon on Monday. I live in Rural Retreat just outside of Wytheville. Anytime you're through here and don't mind talking to a wanna be, hollar at me. Sounds like you found a great fit with Abilene. Once I graduate I'm wanting to do flatbed with either TMC or McElroy. If you have any info to share on either of those companies, I would sure take it. Thanks and stay safe out there.

I had another great week, I just finished with 3500 miles for the week. I have been out three weeks now and will end up being out five weeks before I go home. I chose to stay out for five weeks so I could take five days off for thanksgiving and my daughters birthday. I have been recapping for the last two weeks so I debated about running this load all the way to Niles, Mi. Or shutting down here in Ohio and getting a restart. I hate recapping so I decided to get the restart. I have a 1000 appt. and I'm about four hours away, so I will get up at 0500 and head that way.
One thing I have noticed since being here is that most places we pick up and deliver to, there is very little waiting to get loaded or unloaded which is always nice. I hope everyone has a safe and productive week.

The Challenger and Strykor Thank this.

Another good week in the bag. I finished the week with 3370 miles for the week. I'm sitting in Grand Rapids, Mi. getting unloaded and should be home for Thanksgiving by Wed. Or Thurs. morning for a much needed 5 days off. Have a safe and productive week.
